Nineteen-year-old Christian Taylor practically reinvents blond in Junior Studio's The American Way.  But Ashton Ryan gets top billing, as a high school athlete whose career hopes are dashed by a torn ligament. When he comes out to his mother after graduating, she sends him to work for his gay uncle, who owns a resort in Palm Springs. There, Ryan and Taylor meet and fall in love, but their relationship is short-circuited by incompatible expectations. Ryan wants sex, variety and adventure; Taylor wants love, stability and romance. Ryan later picks up Chuck Murphy at the grocery store. For a young guy, Ryan knows a lot about dominating and prolonging an encounter.
